Chianti is one of the most loved Italian wines, and for good reason! It is a rich and lovely wine made primarily from Sangiovese juice, blended with a little Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon. Stone fruit flavors are present in the forefront of the palate. Tannins and higher levels of acidity give this wine an incredible depth of character. Chianti wines run across a spectrum described as strong, bold, fruity, soft or dry, and have a deep ruby redness that makes them very aesthetically pleasing!
