Scottish Whiskey from White Labs is a traditional yeast strain used in the production of Scottish-style whiskeys. This yeast can be used in high-gravity beers and worts to produce a complex beer with some fruity esters and spicy phenolics, as well as fusel oil compounds. It is a Scottish whiskey yeast strain with origins in the 1950s which has medium flocculation properties and high alcohol tolerance and attenuation. Use this for the production of fine Scottish-style whiskeys, American whiskeys and complex high gravity beers!
ICE PACK INCLUDED
We include complimentary ice packs with ALL liquid yeast orders (if required), but cannot guarantee that the ice packs will stay cold during transit, and thus the yeast can potentially be exposed to hot temperatures. We highly recommend ordering dry yeast during the hot summer months or if you are ordering from a warmer climate. Many times during the winter an ice pack is not needed so we make the determination based on current temperatures and the destination!
