Chocolate malt from Bairds is a wonderful and rich chocolate malt producted by one of the UK's most well-recognized maltsters. Bairds Chocolate malt is the perfect malt to add some rich chocolate and coffee flavors and aromas to darker beers and is commonly used in milds, browns and porters. However, a very tiny amount can be used to give a reddish color to beers and add just a touch of roastiness. It gives a beautiful color contribution for dark beers as well as a rich chocolate flavor.
