The name Kaiserring comes from the Goslarer Kaiserring; an award of a physical ring that is given by the town of Goslar (the birth place of Gose) to a distinguished international artist of modern and contemporary art. It is often referred to as the Nobel Prize of the art world.
This beer is truly a work of art. It's refreshing and perfectly crushable in the hot summertime. Featuring a beautiful tapestry of pilsner and wheat, galaxy hops, salt components, and a sour culture from Lallemand - this masterpiece is sure to be one that your friends and family fall in love with!
Award Winning
This beer kit is based on the award winning recipe by Mike Beck. Mike's beer won the Brewer's Choice award at the 2023 Indy Brew Battle, an annual competition dedicated to providing funds for Veterans' charities. We've been happy to be a part of this competition since it's inception, and have been releasing beer kits for the winners each year!
Brewing Instructions
The recipe was designed to be used with Lallemand's Philly Sour yeast, but we include the advanced instructions with the kit as well. The advanced instructions include details on Mike's kettle sour steps.
