Lemondrop hops are here! This hop variety is a cross between Cascade and a USDA 19058 male that has a distinct and wonderful lemon characteristic! Classified as an aroma hop, Lemondrop brings an herbal note of green tea and mint along with the lemon and citrus character, and has been described by some as having a slight melon characteristic as well. Perfect for session beers, Lemondrop is starting to be used more in commercially available beers. While using it in ales can bring out its sweeter side, it is mild enough to be used in lagers as well!
