A ridiculously thorough flocculator thought to be from a highly regarded English ESB, Extra Special has unique fruitiness and noticeable finishing sweetness. It drops out quickly and completely. It is easy to crop, but may need a diacetyl rest. To enhance the fruit, ferment at the recommended temperature ceiling. This yeast is basically the equivalent of the London ESB strains from other popular yeast manufacturers, and is great for the production of a wide range of clean and clear British ales, from bitters and pale ales to porters and stouts!
This yeast strain was formerly known as British Ale VIII

ICE PACK INCLUDED
We include complimentary ice packs with ALL liquid yeast orders (if required), but cannot guarantee that the ice packs will stay cold during transit, and thus the yeast can potentially be exposed to hot temperatures.
