A truly unique strain of Norwegian farmstead "kveik," Hornindal produces a tropical flavor and complex aroma that can take your beers to the next level! It produces a tone of tropical flavors that are often described as stone fruit, pineapple, mango and fruit leather. These notes complement fruit-forward hops, especially the American "C" hops, especially at higher temperatures where ester production and fermentation speed are increased. Another non-phenolic strain, this yeast also does not product fusel alcohols even near the top of its temperature range.

ICE PACK INCLUDED
We include complimentary ice packs with ALL liquid yeast orders (if required), but cannot guarantee that the ice packs will stay cold during transit, and thus the yeast can potentially be exposed to hot temperatures. We highly recommend ordering dry yeast during the hot summer months or if you are ordering from a warmer climate. Many times during the winter an ice pack is not needed so we make the determination based on current temperatures and the destination!
