Kveiking is the latest seasonal yeast from Imperial Yeast. A blend of three different traditional Norweigan kveik, Kveiking can produce a ton of tropical fruit aromas! Pineapple and guava dominate the aroma profile, with other tropical and stone fruits mixed in. While a lower pitch rate can be used to really drive these aromas, care should be taken to ensure a continuous high fermentation temperature with a low pitch rate. Low temperatures can lead to a lower attenuation rate and higher terminal gravities. Otherwise, this is much like many of the kveik strains, having a wide temperature range and used for a number of different beer styles. It works well in hazy IPAs and traditional Norweigan ales. However, it also works well with kettle-soured worts to produce an amazing fruit character in the finished beer. A real winner available for a limited time only!
ICE PACK INCLUDED
We include complimentary ice packs with ALL liquid yeast orders (if required), but cannot guarantee that the ice packs will stay cold during transit, and thus the yeast can potentially be exposed to hot temperatures. We highly recommend ordering dry yeast during the hot summer months or if you are ordering from a warmer climate. Many times during the winter an ice pack is not needed so we make the determination based on current temperatures and the destination!
